Once a month movie buffs gather after hours at the Arizona Science Center to screen a film. This months title was Clueless. Refreshments, snacks and activities await before the movie begins and the excitement was palpable (I mean who doesn’t love Clueless, amirite??). Cheers could be heard as we all filed in to our seats in the Irene P. Flinn Giant Screen theater.
It had been awhile since I had watched Clueless which made seeing it in theaters an even more enjoyable experience. Watching the film was a pleasant reminder that a lot of the messages in this film are still applicable today. In this day and age of social media and being a bit self obsessed, it is easy to forget that there is a whole world out there around you. Apparently the messages are so relevant that there is a podcast out there called the As If podcast that analyzes the film minute by minute!
I really enjoy all the Science Center events throughout the year and highly recommend them to all of you. Join us next month for the screening of 10 Things I Hate About You!
